So I manage the Twitter account for my college’s local events calendar. It was dead for a while so I went through and followed some official school accounts and every so often will like and repost their stuff. Tell me why these are the important notifications that Twitter AI thinks I should have?!

Good learning for us all that a product doesn’t need to be perfect if it fills a user need. Optimize and iterate > shipping perfect things that no one needs.

American youth on xiaohongshu proves that you don’t need a perfect product if you can fill a user need and make a statement. App isn’t even in English but it’s works for what users want. And they get to say f u to the government. This happens to be a right thing, right time kind of product love but

100%. When threads came out though it had bugs, it was polished and didn’t feel like a MVP. I was worried for a bit that the MVP was dead becuase the big companies can just throw resources at something and smaller companies wouldn’t be able to compete. I’m enjoying that’s not the case!

Ok so shortest social media hiatus of all time. But I’ve been playing around with this app and I’m actually into it. Though. Is it just me or is it strange that likes are on the right? I guess they want to encourage more active engagement but I guess I’ve been too metaed-it’s throwing me off a bit.
