Me and the other trench-dwellers in the guides team over at @rockpapershotgun.bsky.social have been busting our butts these last few weeks. Wrapped up our complete RE9 walkthrough today. Best written guide on the internet I reckon! www.rockpapershotgun.com/resident-evi...

A woman wearing a long dark brown coat walks along a foggy green path with a crossroads in front of her. Mist obscures the cars and buildings in the distance, and towering winter trees reach towards the sky as a lone bird flaps its wings overhead.
Took this photo of my wife walking this AM and was reminded of a fixed camera angle in a PS2 survival horror game
There are plenty of places you can pick up a copy of Mappa Mundi, our award-winning debut exploration + ecology game. Our friends at @shop.peregrinecoast.press were the first people to take a chance on it, so pick up a copy from them!
And we are done with a final amount of £83,256!!! Surpassed Mappa Mundi, which is a fantastic sign for both Gallows and our future projects in the oven. Thank you dearly!
Gallows Corner is funded, at £83,255 when the last second passed.
Thanks to everyone here for your support. We start the printing process on Thursday.
Next up: City of Espers!

Sometimes I wish HW had more mass appeal, but I have to remind myself that so much of the movies, games, music, etc. I enjoy the most are those that make me feel crazy thinking about how the rest of the world isn’t constantly singing their praises. Like when I watch a low budget/indie movie with a lot of obvious heart and after it ends I’m excited and go on letterboxd only to see it averaged at 2.5 stars. Or discover a beautiful song from a band that existing for a blip in time 20 years ago that barely exists on the internet now. And it hurts to think about people spending so much time and effort on making things that only a small number of people will appreciate, but on the audience side I truly do feel like my life is so much better with these things in it. I feel like they were made for me. As much as I wish there was a way everyone who creates could feel the value of their work, I know our world is not set up for that. But then I guess they do know in some sense, because they keep making - in spite of it all. And that’s really inspiring to me.
4am ramble
5 hours to go now! Every little bit helps put us in a better position to continue crafting creative games that challenge the norm and bring something new to the TTRPG table!
I didn't even attempt that! Nicely done, top gamer moment 100%
A notebook showing handdrawn maps and notes for Resident Evil 2, including the Raccoon City Police Station.
More handwritten notebook drawings for Resident Evil REmake, including a little doodle of a chibi Chris Redfield running from zombies under the caption "CRIMSON HEAD ZOMBIES SUCK"
Found my handwritten notes on beating the original Resident Evil 2 and REmake while covering Resident Evil Requiem for work. I played the entire series back-to-back about 8 years ago so this isn't some childhood discovery, but I still enjoy looking at my lil doodles
GALLOWS CORNER - A PEASANTS' REVOLT RPG is in its final 48 hours on Kickstarter!
The support of all you unwashed outlaws has been amazing so far, and we're very grateful!
Please share this around, and back Gallows Corner today if you haven't already!

Mega Man X
I literally CRIED at the ending of Mega Man 2, the first time I beat it (I was 6 years old, roughly).
We cannot and should not let generative AI take away these tiny, insignificant, but probably fun as hell jobs from artists
Charmed and fascinated by Chess Wars, a DOS game released in 1996 that features live-action cutscenes of medieval melee when playing pieces engage one another in battle.
Played through it early, and yeah, I agree with this. I enjoyed the interplay between him and Grace in Rhodes Hill but then the "this is an apology and also fan service and please like us" feelings ramped up way too much
I feel ya on this, sir, 100%
Draw Steel continues to be wild. The demons plotting to kill a dragon knight, a woman, and a four-armed dude all in one foul swoop
My colleague Callum got to review this one and I 100% agree with everything here. The beginning hours of RE9 are some of the best Biohazard in years and then it becomes like, the biggest mess of mistaken fan service since RE6 lol. Will have to blog my own thoughts later.
Working with Joel and @pixelgrotto.bsky.social every day on these games is genuinely dream come true territory.
I wrote about that process, and how we set out to do it and make it work, in this week's Gallows Corner update.
Go check it out! www.kickstarter.com/projects/thr...
A piece of artwork by Jeff Easley titled "Red Dragon" famously known for being used on the cover of Introduction to Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd edition box set. Image depicts a huge bulky red dragon reaching for a poor soldier who's wielding a sword and shield on top of a small tower. The dragon is breathing some sort of white fire towards the soldier. On the back mountains covered in snow can be seen as well as a small castle on top of one to the right, where another pair of red dragons seem to be hovering by.

Painting of Link with a million little gadgets and weapons from across the games. I worked harder on this in a 5 week period than any other thing I’ve ever painted. I think I almost died working on this lol
Happy Zelda 40th anniversary!

The Yorkshire spread from Gallows Corner. It features a bottom up view of the Shambles in York at the top of the image, while the bottom shows the North Yorkshire Moors.
Joel has delivered a whole bunch of new art for GALLOWS CORNER today, and it has been incredibly difficult to pick just one to share.
But let's see what Yorkshire looks like.

Damn, just remembered he's actually 9. I am failed uncle
Happy year of the fire horse! For this CNY, I'd like to give a shoutout to my 8-year-old nephew who beat Tears of the Kingdom for the second time over the weekend and now mounts Lynels like it's nothing
had an urge to make some uh bean horses today, so here's that
