This is the first post I’ve ever seen from Kris and it’s 100% worth reading and sharing 🧚🏽‍♀️

Yeah…this was in Augsburg where the church was the only place I felt accepted as I was…until that illusion shattered

But honestly it was the cult thing I dealt with in college that started the cracks, the Germany Pentecostal thing was just my last straw 🤷🏾‍♀️

Actually wait it wasn’t Easter, it happened a little bit after that in May - it was a special service either way

I couldn’t understand why they’d let me believe I could be a part of the choir if they didn’t think I was godly enough for it

I was told the night before Easter Sunday (the choir director called me) that I wasn’t needed to sing in front of the congregation because they only allow those who are “holy” and “spiritually mature” to be in the music ministry

I’d been practicing a solo for weeks

The problem?

I wore pants.

Still beats overpaying a stylist to play in my head though! I decided long ago that I’m the only one I trust to do my hair - the last time I paid a braider unfortunately I had to take them out 2 days later because of unbearable itching - idk what hair that lady used but it wasn’t right for my scalp

I’m so tired omg

The sore muscles and tender scalp are no joke after two days of unbraiding and detangling, and I still have to wash, blow dry, and put new braids in - this is why hair days are nothing to play with 😭

I just finished taking out my braids and it’s 3:11am

Somebody praise me i started around 10 this morning

I’m overwhelmed because not only did they get our order right, we got a random free order of wings (they do NOT do promos, or any kind of bogo deals - also, yes, the receipt was correct)
