This is the man who is now in charge of US Homeland Security.
Minnesota would like a word.
Farage cannot cope with his own unpopularity. At all.
With the mediaβs help and huge foreign donations, his ego has been massaged into such a state of entitlement that he thinks heβs answerable to no one and simply owed power.
Itβs become a national imperative to prove him wrong.
You cannot talk like this about any other minority in America.
And if it was any other presidentβs adviser who said something like this about any other minority, itβd be the instant end of their presidency.
Fascinating anecdote from A.N. Wilson today in the Mail. 20 years ago the brother of the editor of the newspaper he worked for became a foreign ambassador. Then the late Queen & Prince Philip came to visit the country & left behind a pile of expenses for their official trip. HT @willoyd.bsky.social
Kind of incredible. I was just sitting down to write about how Starmer should be given credit for keeping us out of this mess when he does this. Unutterably foolish and obsequious. Why in God's name should we have anything to do with this shortsighted madness.

Summary:
The electorate is restless.
Labour is rudderless.
Greens are hope.
Tories are hopeless.
And Reformβs silent majority has once again turned out to be a noisy minority.
That's the way to do it. So good to see progressive politicians pushing back hard on Reform's messaging. Highly effective and so refreshing and Labour could learn a lot from Polanski in this regard. Take the attack to the Faragists - don't let them get away with it.
π¨BREAKINGπ¨ Robert Jenrick has defected from Reform to the Greens.
Today, from 2.30, on BBC Radio Wales with Eleri, we have Epic, Scream 7 & The Bluff, and my 3 of the best films with four letters or fewer in their titles. Joiwch.

Today, from 2.30, on BBC Radio Wales with Eleri - reviews of Cold Storage, Good Luck Have Fun Don't Die & If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, and my 3 of the best sci-fi comedies (no BTTF or Galaxy Quest for the added challenge). Joiwch.
When will Republicans, veterans organizations, & retired military officers speak up about this? No president in the history of the Republic has done this. Yet Trump, Vance, & Hegseth do it constantly. It betrays the most important core value of our military-no partisan politics.
Thing is though, I really want this t-shirt now!
Far-right thug Tommy Robinson flees UK after police warning over terror threat Far-right thug Tommy Robinson took to social media this evening to proclaim himself a 'priority target' for ISIS, adding he had fled the UK after receiving a call from Bedfordshire Police

I prefer it when βTraitorsβ describes the TV program, not the people potentially electing the next government.

Day after Alex Pretti killing I complained to BBC about presentation of White House statements and evidence as equivalent. Duty of balance doesnβt extend to complicity with clear lies, I said. BBC could and should report WH making false statements as a *fact of the story*. Today I got response β¦
Iβve watched a lot of congressional hearings over the last 40 years. This performance by Bondi is the single most unprofessional, non-responsive, reprehensible and obnoxious I have ever seen from any witness who has testified before any committee of either chamber.
She spent the whole morning performatively screaming at Congressmen, but this image of Bondi saying nothing and refusing to turn around will be the only real takeaway from her testimony today.
Jim Ratcliffe has had Β£70m of state money in the last four years, which would pay for a lot of fictitious dole scroungers.
For anyone unsure whether Jim Ratcliffe saying the UK has been 'colonised' by immigrants in that interview was being a full-on racist, he goes on to imply that they all scrounge benefits without looking for work.
*This* Jim Ratcliffe, in case you were wondering:
Just saw an ad for my own little film on Instagram which was weird.
Anyway, if you live near somewhere thatβs showing our queer welsh-language slasher comedy as part of Iris on the Move pop along wonβt you?

Rewarded for the Brexit calamity with peerages.
