Yo ECCC artists! how was today compared to last yearβs Thursday? Sales up? Down? Howβs foot traffic? Did you move more books or more prints? Original work? Or an established IP that is not your own (fan art)?

Itβs likely the artist behind that ECCC table paid at least
$450 for the table
$500-700 for lodging
$150 (+) for food/drink
$300+ for merch.
The financial risk is real! Be nice to the creators behind the table and even if you donβt got the $$ to spare, a kind word goes a long way.
It is so weird when younger people think that getting older means ceasing social participation
This is also why so many of you fear aging. You think that you will be forced away from life and society
I havenβt done ECCC since 2019 but my graphic novel sales have been awesome for a thursday! Prints, not so much
So I guess it was either World War III or drag queens reading books to our children.

If you're doomscrolling, guess what? So far there are 51 kΔkΔpΕ chicks hatched and thriving this season, the same number of birds as we had in TOTAL in the 90s! Only one chick has died and there are still fertile eggs waiting to hatch!
