Yeah. If you examine the early Christian uses of the term "anti-Christ," the First Letter of John is the chief source, the sort of person who claims all virtue & fools all manner of people, etc is the (a) anti-Christ. Trump fits the bill.

That would be true. But getting Trump to stop while giving him only a rhetorical fig leaf of victory would improve Iran's position even if the Israeli's were still doing their thing.

China (or Russia, erg) will probably tell Trump that Iran will unconditionally surrender if the U.S. stops bombing them and they can form a government under their present constitution and Trump will decide that's what he meant all along.

Or perhaps be stopped by Congress.

I think they might have better luck spending two thousand dollars holding a press conference where they detail who made the key decisions to collaborate with the Trump administration, how and when they were fired, and explaining what would stop that from happening again.

If you took $1 billion and gave it to the endowment of a different small college each day, they could each provide a free college education to several hundred students per year in perpetuity. Instead we are using that money to bomb schools and kill students in Iran, for no clearly stated purpose.

The specific embarrassment this time was throwing him under the bus for things she was being attacked by REPUBLICAN Senators--he likes to be made not responsible for bad things, just get credit for good things. She missed that assignment.

Democrats may not be able to prevent Mullin's confirmation, but they can certainly turn his track record of offense and stupidity into two days of televised humiliation so spectacular that he is wounded in Trump's eyes from day 1. That is the job.
