The people leading studios need to understand that what they say can not only hurt the public's perception of their films, but also their employees. Good voices and representation are important in stories and they should be heard in the art that filmmakers want to put out.
I think they need to realize in addition to their audiences, they might also be hurting the people working on their own movies with what they say. It's not exactly the best morale booster out there if you ask me, trying to be in the middle.
I'm sorry I'm not as active as I should be. My mental health has been a huge mess as of late due to the news and just lack of creative inspiration and it resulted in me having a massive panic attack last night. It's hard to stay calm during hard times, but I'm trying. I'm trying.
Turning Red was the last one that was pitched when he was there. Domee Shi admitted on Instagram that she pitched it to Pixar on Halloween 2017. The allegations against Lasseter broke out exactly three weeks later. Elemental was the last one that was greenlit under his tenure released.
Man, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've gotten that trailer again and again since July and I've gotten so sick of seeing it in front of every film.
I'm glad you said it. Elemental may have been the last film released by Pixar that Lasseter greenlit, but you can feel that every film they've made this decade feels different than before. I've really been loving these new films from Pixar under Pete and I can't wait to see more.
I have zero desire to see it in theaters (I refuse to support Angel Studios), but I am still just as baffled at how bad it looks and fascinated by how they possibly could change it to make the story suitable for children. It's just inconceivable.
Sigh.....how do I tell you? It is.

I have no idea why you would be a member of the Academy and vote for the Oscars if you don't watch all of them films. It really isn't that hard to sit down and spend a few hours watching every film to decide which does the best in what category. Some of these voters are stubborn.
A few new Pixar projects are reportedly in the works, according to the Wall Street Journal. This includes Ono Ghost Market, a film with Asian myths about supernatural bazaars where the living and dead interact, a new animated musical by Domee Shi, and a third Monsters Inc.
Coco wasn't a full on musical.
Illumination and Nintendo have revealed that the final trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be released on Monday. I'm curious what else will be shown in this trailer, especially knowing some more characters and power-ups have been revealed on the poster.
DreamWorks has officially unveiled new details about The Wild Robot sequel. The film is named after the second book, The Wild Robot Escapes, and Nimona director Troy Quane will direct while Chris Sanders will return to write the sequel. I was hyped before, my hype has tripled.
Cartoon Saloon has posted the trailer for Kindred Spirits, their next film after Julian this year. This looks just as gorgeous and rich as expected from the Irish studio and I am hyped as ever to see this in 2028! This is gonna be a treat.
Yep, at least we have more Saloon coming this year with Julian. So we do have some more peak coming.
Geez, this guy needs to take a seat cause he seems to be really obsessed with you. I'm sorry you have to deal with this guy, Mat.
Ten years ago today, Zootopia was released. It's hard for me to believe because this Oscar-winning animated film featuring a bunny and a fox solving a mystery is the reason that made me want to look more and study animation. I owe it so much and I adore it with all my heart.

The taste visualizations from Ratatouille animated by Michel Gange are a lot of fun to watch on their own, especially just seeing the blend between the animation and Michael Giacchino's fantastic score. I love how playful the colors get during these moments.
Happy birthday Karlamon!
Pretty accurate from what I gathered. I wasn't really even on board Stranger Things and didn't watch the finale and I can say from what I've read that the ending was......um, unfinished I guess? At least it wasn't like the ending Game of Thrones (that should've ended like Holy Grail).
Pixar has a new animated film out made by the creator of We Bare Bears. It is insane, bonkers, absolutely hilarious, very heartfelt, and one of my new favorite films that Pixar has made. I really adored it. Anyway, here's my review of Hoppers.
Ew.
They are gay and in love your honor.
Yes.
I'll believe it when I see it in terms of Netflix trying to commit to more theatrical releases (and maybe even home video deals), but I will be at least happy if they do commit to this. Films deserve to be cherished in theaters and deserve home video releases for people to see.
It depends if we're talking about animated films or shows. I do know for the latter, the early to mid-2010s were a high point for animated TV before Netflix came along. I'm not sure what could get the ball rolling, but maybe a new show making a big splash could do it. Films I think will keep moving.
You're a wonderful ball of chaos and just tons of fun to talk to.
You're one of the sweetest people I know and someone that really knows how to brighten the atmosphere in a room. We need more people like you in the world.
