Have you seen what privatization has done to the USA? Around 650k families are forced into bankruptcy each year due to medical debt. Church owned facilities have replaced most homeless shelters via gov't contracts. The private prison system is legendary for its abuse - and profits. And so on.
Exactly, it does not have to be all one way or the other.
Competition is good but oligopolies need breaking up.
Health care should nationalized to remove profit from the equation, but also needs an eye kept on costs and efficiencies.
Well, to be honest the interests of one of our top customers is still ours.
But it is certainly taking a lower priority.
Have you noticed that Trump barely hides how much he wants world domination these days.
When the Trump regime falls, and it will eventually, the U.S. will find itself distrusted by those who once stood by them and they will have to change to regain that trust and find a new place in the world order.
