For me personally the arc felt more like an expansion of chapter 1, except this time with the clarification that Soul really, really had made her an important part of his being and that he's not just sticking with her because she's his meister

Idc that people (especially those who don't care about this ship) often rag on this arc because Maka is yet again undergoing another low after some highs (personally it made her feel realistic to me even if it was a retread of a previous issue)

The Envy-Sloth chapters be like: How much of a chokehold do Maka and Soul have on each other: the special
