Just 6 days left to apply! Deadline: 8 March. Since this came up in some of the inquiries I've received: we can be flexible with the start date (ideally June 15), and there is no requirement to learn Dutch (whew!)

Matthijs's book is interesting and convincingly arguedβand it's open access! Check it out!
Bonus consideration for U.S. scholars who might be interested: a three-year postdoc will take you out of the U.S. until 2029. Just saying.
If you are mobile and want to do research related to this theme, this is a great opportunity. Matthijs is a great person to work with (as are the other biblical studies people on faculty there!), Radboud is a great place to work, and Nijmegen is a great place to live, even if only temporarily.

I'll just say, I think it's imprudent to oppose calls to nuclear disarmament, especially because (1) possessing nuclear weapons has no material bearing on whether/how the US supports Ukraine and (2) there's no chance the GOP even entertains the idea of eliminating our nuclear arsenal anyway.
What am I missing? Iβm no Tulsi fan, but sheβs not saying anything here that Chomsky or the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists wouldnβt say, right? Nuclear disarmament (even if one-sided, especially if itβs the US) would make the world safer. Thereβs just no reason to believe Trump would do it.
Ugh, that's awful.

In my experience, 9-12 months is pretty typical with JBL, so I doubt there's anything worth checking in on at this point.
Thank you!
