As a fed, can confirm all of this, and will reiterate that we need to be very clear about the challenges. But pendulums swing back and forth and people continue to retire and will need to be replaced, and honestly we need the energy, expertise, and optimism that young people bring to the field.

Respectfully disagree. We do have some big wins to hang our hats on, and regardless I think we need to encourage young people to enter our field. We just need to be honest about the costs, both financial and otherwise, of pursuing a career in our field.

A least weasel. It fits in the palm of the hand.
If you’re wondering what a “least weasel” is, they absolutely live up to the name. This is the least amount of animal you can have that can still meet the bar for “is weasel”

I believe that these numbers only reflect losses in competitive areas that include unionized employees. Most competitive areas do not, and so actual overall force reductions will be substantially greater than what you have detailed.

We’ve planted quite a few native plants, only some of which thrive and reproduce on their own. Quite a bit of weeding takes place as well.

It is a Yellow Warbler. They do indeed occur in New England in the summer - we saw one in Maine in July.

On a recent trip to Maine this bay-breasted warbler casually fed its recent fledgling with us no more than five feet away. It’s slightly out of focus bc I dropped our camera(!!!) but it will always be a wonderful memory. #birds #baxterstatepark
