there also the fact that a lot of peopel in this space are also programmers, and programmers use AI all the time. they may not vibe code but i kno even i have used AI when it came down to a particularly tricky problem. so in programming, AI usage is very normalised
a lot of it come down to envy, people seeing somehting they see as cool and wanting to make somthing just as cool. in certain cases it's fine if it's educational. but it's like shipping something with lorem ipsum all over it.

it seems strange given preconceived notions but 'rendering' is the correct term in both contexts. callinmg a finished drawing a 'render' is just as valid as calling it a drawing or an illustration. for maximum clarity it should be most descriptive to call it a 'illustrative render'
well cause a computer and an illustrator are doing the same thing, blocking out elements, applying texture, figuring out and applying lighting. the creative part of drawing really is in the internal plan you make in your head, everything beyond that is pretty technical and relies mostly on technique
i always find it wierd myself because i do rendering all the time
but like, it's computer rendering
it feels wierd but they are simular processes. the artistic element of an image is the posing, the angle, and where lights go. everything after that is technical
