It’s shitty work, but someone has to do it! And because of that we should give the Potomac Interceotor and all the other wastewater and sewer infrastructure, the respect, care, and attention they deserve!

The ‘poop pipe’ that caused the Potomac sewage spill wants to explain itself The Potomac Interceptor, responsible for carrying 60 million gallons of wastewater a day, gets no respect.

By far the most creative way of explaining some of my work that I’ve ever seen. Shoutout to Elahe Izadi for personifying the critical assets that convenience our lives and ultimately keep us safe and healthy!

There’s little to no dedicated news coverage on the life of Rev. Jesse Jackson. It’s hard to believe we’re valued in this country, even during BHM. Had it been a non-Black non civil rights person. It’d be nonstop coverage around the clock.

When it comes to government contracts of a certain amount, the American people should have a say. No one cabinet member, agency, or federal employee should be able to unilaterally decide to award a company or individual a multiyear multimillion/billion dollar award using tax payers dollars.

Unfortunately, admist all of the uncertainty and instability, what has been consistent is the lack of protection and fair treatment for people in pursuit of the “American Dream” who deserve it most.

A breach of terms in the private sector or under any other scenario would be deemed “unlawful,” yet the federal government is exempt. Powerful institutions, including the courts and Congress, fight against us, and almost no one consistently fights for us.

We bail out banks, corporations, and billionaires with taxpayer money. The current administration even offers loan forgiveness for ICE agents. Yet we’re opposed to stable, favorable repayment terms for the average student borrower?

Since entering repayment in 2017, I’ve lived through three administrations—two of which with the same President who has been openly at war w/ universities & education—while navigating COVID and the threat of yet another recession. All while giving countless hours of gov. service.

Coming from a low-income household, loans weren’t optional; they were the only way I could attend college. I wouldn’t have an education without them, and I wouldn’t be who or where I am today without that education.

At 18, as a first-gen college student taking out loans during the Great Recession, I had no idea I was signing up for terms that could swing wildly with each President’s value of higher ed—or a random red-state AG’s disdain for student borrowers. #SAVE #StudentLoans

Is Baltimore’s harbor really clean enough for swimming? Environmentalists disagree. Environmentalists discuss the question in decidedly different ways.

A few quotes in Baltimore Banner from yours truly.

Achieving a swimmable harbor is a worthy goal for everyone in Baltimore, but to say we are there now may be a “political interest” and “a stretch.”

“Through our scientific genius we’ve made of the world a neighborhood, but we’ve failed through moral commitment to make of it a brotherhood/sisterhood, and so we’ve ended up with guided missiles and misguided men.”

Saw an example the other day of a walking path that produced electricity. That’s the level of integration and creativity we need.

It happens to the best of us. For what it’s worth, I too found it incredibly useful under different ownership. Wish Dorsey would have never sold. *Deep Sigh*
