Yes, he seems to think that if the whole population had more surface details in common, it would magically make relationships easier.

One time I added "the party went to Dungeon Town and helped defend the wall against an assault" to the campaign diary some weeks later, and the GM was like "thanks, I straight-up forgot about that." It was a plot point that spanned two sessions!

Tentacle monster is done. Time to paint some chicken men. #miniaturespainting #nerdlings #archvillaingames
In this developer diary I revisit the Episodic Memory system and figure out how to observe its results so I can actually debug the thing ...

Another interesting point is that sometimes the data centers are using municipal water, i.e. water that has been filtered and treated and all that. If it evaporates, rains back down, and returns in a river or other body of water, it's not potable anymore.

Probably the same thing that makes me speed up when someone passes me on the road. (It's not spite. Someone passing is a signal that I'm going too slow.)
It takes time. You'll probably have to be consistent over a period of months to see results from it.
Yeah, I like the *idea* of it. It just seemed to demand more precision or faster reflexes than I had in me.
Yeah, if you like a straightforward power fantasy, that's probably not what DE is for. It's a game about talking to quirky people (and being one).
I made it through DE without save-scumming, so it may not be as scary as it looked.
Mirror's Edge. It was supposed to be a thrilling free-flowing parkour adventure; it turned into a desperate slog as I tried each sequence over and over and over until I somehow got it. Very much a Skill Issue for me, but with so many other games in my To Play I couldn't invest the time to master it.
These days you'd think the bots would be smart enough to look up some links on their own.
They are coming
I'm thinking of something *like* that - the problem is, the parser's still untried enough that there *will* be errors even in a valid file. I think it needs to be based on a large enough accumulation. Like, if nothing seems to be a valid sentence at all, it's probably not the right thing to read.
Recent work on Acuitas includes the slightly awkward debut of what I call the "self-teaching activity." The gist is that I want Acuitas to look for his own new reading material. Read about it here: writerofminds.blogspot.com/2026/02/acui... #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #chatbot #symbolicAI #NLP
A breadboard with a bunch of components on it. Sitting in the background is a little plastic frame with the needle movement from an analog meter and a t-slot optical interrupter mounted in it.
I haven't had the spare energy to chatter on social media much lately, but I've still got lots of projects moving ahead. Here's the mount and circuit prototype for the high-precision scale.

The new cat's propensity for climbing on all my shelves and messing with stuff is finally forcing me to declutter, lol
Want to try PCTG on the cheap? Here's your chance, but you need to act now.

IMO it's worth having a word for "useless gestures that give you credit for helping others when you're not actually helping." But visual expression of sincerely-held opinions is not that.
In my experience, the spoilage mode of sealed peanut butter is that it (almost literally) turns into glue. I've never had trouble knowing whether a jar was bad.
Awww such a cute chub, he should no die
What's the deal with horse fanciers getting special treatment?
I am reprinting a lampshade that I designed almost 8 years ago. This time I printed both pieces in PETG with a 0.8mm nozzle. The first time, the clear was printed in PLA and at 0.4mm. The green PETG was still wet despite drying it, so I will need to reprint it.
I wish filing your taxes early would make all the tax preparer ads go away - the way voting early stops some political robocalls.
A rendering of a gyrobifastigium, a polyhedron that is constructed by attaching a triangular prism to square face of another one. It is an example of a Johnson solid. It is the only Johnson solid that can tile three-dimensional space.
this is a gyrobifastigium appreciation post, look at this funky little dude!
