This is why it matters that countries push back. Canada has mostly failed to lead in this way for fear of upsetting Trump. Appeasement only emboldens a bully.
Solidarity from the "why is AWP so often at midterm?" trenches.
Czechia pitcher OndΕej Satoria calls his changeup The Worker and honestly, kudos on the name. nailed it.

Every time I travel, I get closer and closer to being someone who carries an electric kettle in a carry-on. Sad tea-drinker is sad.
"The most effective consumer boycotts in history share two qualities: they are narrow and they are easy," writes @rutgerbregman.com
At AWP especially, it helps presses not have to ship a bunch of books back home (an additional cost). And there are usually sweet sales.
Authors, link to your PRESS website for sales, not Amazon. I see the numbers and it truly makes a difference. π
I assume it's like this for all indies?
As y'all head off to #awp26, I am calculating our author royalties. I cannot stress this enough - buy small press books directly from publishers. It's the way everyone makes the most money and art can continue to happen!
Poets and poetry lovers, do you have a few minutes to complete a survey on line breaks? Itβs part of a research project led by one of my graduate students. Please feel free to share. Thanks for considering.

Do any good thing you can, no matter how small. No good thing is ever insignificant.
One thing I love as a prof is doing letters of rec where, after writing said letter, I have to spend 20 minutes manually filling out a bio and clicking 5/5 on all the attribute scales I discuss in the letter I already spent three hours writing. I like it bc I am immortal and time means nothing to me
Today in class, we made writing prompts for each other, and then we wrote three new drafts/new beginnings using each other's little sparks to light the journey.
Small, good things.

The cover of ENDPAPERS features a collage of a person's face, made from torn horizontal strips of photographs and colorful paper. The top half of the face is feminine and the bottom half is masculine.
Taylor Swift walking down a small flight of steps in front of a building. She's wearing a red hat, yellow wool coat, blue jeans, and brown leather boots. The colors in the photograph match the color palette of the cover of ENDPAPERS.
I missed the three year anniversary of ENDPAPERS (Feb 7)! So I'm celebrating belatedly with this perfect #TaylorSwiftasBooks pairing π₯
