Most of mine are shorter too... but also, some are longer. It depends on the goal (and on the time available). 5 minutes a day is infinitely better than none...
Funky Pincha Mayurasana and Sayanasana don't often show up in yoga vinyasa classes.
This flow was a test of strength, focus and discipline. Tapas. The fire was definitely burning - inside and out - and maybe more in the elbows than I might choose.

Pincha Mayurasana. Well, perhaps not *forever*. 2 minutes maybe on a good day.
This transition is a practice in sthira (stability) and sukha (ease). The strength to lift comes from grounding, the control to lower comes from trust.
Balance doesn't come from forced movement. It comes from finding steadiness in the transition, staying present, staying patient.
