(1/2) It was great to be in Eagle Pass this week and I was touched that County Judge Cantu made me an honorary resident. We discussed building an infrastructure of opportunity for all Texans despite the devastating Trump tariffs, rising grocery prices, ‡οΈ
It was great to be in Corpus Christi on Saturday to see folks and discuss the real impacts of the Trump agenda that is making life harder for Texans. We are going to keep fighting for our healthcare, our livelihoods & an infrastructure of opportunity for all Texas families.
(2/2) Today also serves as a reminder that we must uplift and take care of our Veterans once they return home from the line of duty. Without them, there would be no foundation for our freedom and our democracy.
π§΅(1/2) Today we remember and honor the courageous heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. We also honor their families and loved ones, who have selflessly supported our service members at great personal cost.
(3/3) Republicans in Congress are targeting the most vulnerable to pay for tax breaks for their billionaire buddies. It is shameful. All Democrats voted against this legislation and I encourage folks to continue fighting, to stay engaged, and to keep making your voice heard.
(2/3) Texas is one of the highest uninsured states in the country and Texans will feel the impacts of this legislation in every corner of our state, from our urban to our rural areas.
π§΅(1/3) The Republican budget bill is an attack on Texas families and hardworking folks across the country. Nearly 14 million people will lose access to their healthcare and millions will lose access to SNAP benefits β among many other critical programs.
