One of those multicolored image "Tier List" things with the letter S at the top, then an alphabetical ranking down to the letter F. A picture of Autumn leaves is in the S position. A picture of fresh blooming flowers on the branches of a tree representing Spring is in the A position. A picture of snow and ice covered trees is in the B position. Down in F is a photo of a window air conditioner unit representing Summer.
It's finally done! My 2026 Seasonal Tier List! β¨πβ¨

A square painting against a white background. Painting depicts an orange and blue sunset, beneath a road recedes around a corner, surrounding the setting sun is a large orange and yellow cloud with six wavy rays of light escaping from behind.

Two digital paintovers of an astronaut wearing different types of helmets. One is a form-fitting helmet with an articulated neck, the other is a roomy bubble helmet.

Some Loop Hero portraits
The base of Tidus' fishhead water sword, it has a kind of complicated dolphin motif that gives way to a bubbly water blade.
The same shot in grey polygons, which are simple but some details are shaped by polygons themselves. The upper details are almost all gone, turning into a simple flat transparent alpha details on a simple polygon card.
Actually a great example of what you're talking about is the hilt of his sword. The spike shapes that integrate it with the blade are all geometry, not texture. The top of the "head" is all geometry, but then that seamlessly turns into an alpha card in a way I still almost don't fully understand.
Check out this model of Tidus from FFX. Set him to a static pose, then open the model inspector and turn on wireframe. Look how much more complicated the full model appears compared to the relative simplicity of the polygons. π€― Also check out his knee geometry.

Low poly rat animated entirely through vertex shader.
You could very easily use this to have dynamic per-particle animations for a big swarm of rats, but I'm not doing that in this project.
wait until people find out about how important bill clinton is in marathon lore
Been catching up on the Fallout TV show (Season 1) and those plot points sure hit different right now than they would have a decade or two ago. π
Ooh, this is one is real cute! Nice job.

That sentiment should be used for any and all industry when someone is using genAI over employing a person to do the work.

I hate it too. I don't understand how so many people can unquestioningly accept informational pollution like this on every level.
It's not 100%, but in a Google search if you add " before:2021/01/01 " you can get mostly AI-free image results.
I've been wondering for myself if having more consistent graphic design around the images I post to tie them all together as being from one source, but also differentiate them might help with some of those feelings. I don't want to make a bunch of social accounts either. Still figuring it all out.
I feel the same way doing 3D game art, digital 2D concept/illustrations, and also occasionally fine art stuff like figure drawing or nature art. There's not really the same type of algorithm on Bsky as some places, but I do wonder about followers, people's expectations, and "branding" sometimes.
