Glad there is national attention on how bad the trade deadline was for Morey. Only way Harris makes a move is embarrassment.

It’s March 3rd. I won’t complain about Nurse anymore because regardless of whatever happens with Morey, he should not be back next year. He isn’t an additive coach and 3 years of the team only looking functional when Embiid’s propping them up is enough. No point complaining anymore.

I guess I’m just going through it because the Morey the Sixers got wasn’t some creative guys who made a zillion trades to get CP3 and build a small ball 5 team with Cov as the Center. Like that’s creative stuff. His drafting has been solid and everything else has been either chalk or awful.

McCain and Joe are enough reasons alone to fire Morey. Just wasting young talent because you’re bad at your job in assembling a roster and self created pressure to make the financials work. Truly just done.

I just get more pissed at Morey and Nurse watching these type of games because instead of young players getting a chance we have friggin Cam Payne and Lowry playing inning eaters. Like what the heck

To be fair, the Sixers were never going to win this game without Embiid. I think they still get handled with him because the Spurs are just young, skilled and have a lot of depth. But they had no shot with him out. There’s just been way too many games this year where we just flush because “injuries”

They’re going to lose by 50+ at this point.

Maybe the next GM will trade George and wait out Embiid’s contract or at least build a functional team around the thought that he’s an after thought.

I just can’t believe Nurse didn’t pull the cord on Drummond for this game. Like he actively was harmful out there and Nurse played him again. Can argue what other option they had thanks the Morey but I dunno, play small because who gives a crap since you get out rebounded anyway.

I’m obviously no fan of Nurse but they have no chance to win anything with him. He is not adding anything to this team and his defensive game plan doesn’t work in 2026. And like… game was already done but he literally asked them to double Brown 25 ft away with <10 seconds left on the shot clock.

Not that I think it would have changed the result but Drummond is pretty unplayable and Nick never tried going small with Barlow at the 5.

Think the game effectively ended with the empty possession after VJ’s save. That was a moment shifter.

Nurse not knowing how to utilize McCain at all is such an indictment on him. Passing and relocating is such a weapon and instead the Sixers play such a blah ISO heavy offense. On one hand, he was destined for a WC team. But just such a fumble.
