I am begging, absolutely begging, people who follow this absolute charlatan to read this piece & unfollow him. For #LFC supporters, his behaviour in the aftermath of Diogo Jota’s death, and the way that he *appeared* to be trying to monetise it, should’ve been reason enough to stick him in the bin.

Very good

War makes certain people rich. Paying for the masses does not. Ultimately.

And of course, the narrative from him almost seems to at times overlook that he is literally in a position to influence these points. They are very much within his sphere of influence to do so. It is odd.

I will admit, the multiple references to us not playing as he would like (e.g. he isn't asking us to start games slowly) is baffling, given we're at the end of a season in which these things have been happening week after week. So, is he lying, or being ignored? Neither is a good look, really.

05.03.2026 14:01 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

He literally can't. He's a fucking moron, among many other things.

It's things like this that make you realise that, in spite of the staggering technological, scientific and medicinal advancements, as a race, we really haven't progressed much at all.

Are those quotes from Hegseth about Biblical end times actually real? I assumed that it *had* to be made up, because it's that fucking insane.

Agreed. As a personality and how he carries himself is way more Slot than Klopp as well.

I know Sean Rogers has been referencing the warm ups not being fit for purpose on TAW recently.

I don't disagree on the performance point. On the squad point; how much of, say, not adding a Diaz replacement and/or a CB/RB in January was on Slot? I may be wrong, but I don't think those decisions are his call, and they've had a material impact on the season.

I like this guy.

Unlike most, it seems, I have some reservations about Alonso (and I'm really not sold on the romantic angle for a player who was pretty dead eyed when it came to his career journey). The real question is where Hughes/Edwards stand on it all.

And that's subtly different to 'is he good enough', or 'does he deserve another season'. If there is another candidate who we believe is an improvement, then we should move for them. That should be the approach for every single position at the club, not only the manager.

04.03.2026 14:01 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Could I see him staying beyond the summer? Yes. Could I see us doing well again under him, if/when we add desperately needed pace and quality to the wings? Also yes. I think for me it ultimately comes down to whether you think he remains the best man for the job.

I agree with you that the use of the squad we do have has been baffling, at best. As have the tactics at times (inverted full backs again last night). But this is a man who won the league at a bit of a canter. And actually, did arrest the real slide a couple of months back. I honestly don't know.

I find it hard to pin down a position on it given the pile of context in and around it all. Be that Jota, the transfer 'strategy' (it's unclear how much say he has), key injuries, decline of key players. I think Slot has had a poor season, but how much of *points at league table* this, is on him?

04.03.2026 14:01 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

And I can think of very few occasions or even periods in games where we've really seen that. To me, that's where you could still see magic from Mo, rather than asking him to beat 2 players in order to create something. In turn create the space for the overlapping Frimpong/Bradley.

04.03.2026 13:29 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah I must admit, I was baffled by what we did with the full backs. And tbh what we've done with Salah for the vast majority of the season. Sure, he's been poor. But you're not getting the most from 2026 Salah out on the touchline. I'd like to see him tucked in, almost a right sided Wirtz role.

04.03.2026 13:29 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

I assumed the same, tbh. It was quite clear we did a lot of this last season, too. And at the time it was generally seen as a positive in us killing games, as well as reducing load on players (and subsequent injuries/absence). Slot has repeatedly said it isn't instruction, though...

Ultimately you can't keep conceding poor goals, which we've been doing with regularity this season. The stats tell a story whereby we should win the game, but retaining the fragility we have leaves you open to the ridiculous. Eventually that even becomes less ridiculous and increasingly predictable.

04.03.2026 13:23 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I enjoy the Blue Room and United We Stand whenever they get beat. Annoyingly less enjoyable at this stage of proceedings (they're probably all busy listening to the Wrap).

04.03.2026 01:29 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I do think the complete lack of quality and pace in wide areas has really, really hurt us this season, and if/when we add one or two to address that I expect things to markedly improve almost instantly. That said, not doing that in the last 2 transfer windows was a choice, so limited sympathy.

03.03.2026 23:56 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

The first halves remind me of Rodgers talking about how your % chance of winning games increases if you have more of the ball. Sometimes it's as if we've taken that very literally, without considering the subsequent need to *do something with it*.

03.03.2026 23:56 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Always makes me feel better, strangely. Sometimes there's a positive slant I'm missing. Others, well, misery likes company, right?

03.03.2026 23:51 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

*Sigh*

03.03.2026 23:50 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

And to be blunt; He's on the contract he is *because* he makes that pass when others don't. And he absolutely should have. There's no denying his level has been through the floor this season in comparison to what we've seen and rightly expect of him.

03.03.2026 23:29 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

The first goal you mean? Yeah, it's a great finish. And tbh as much as I'm hugely frustrated and annoyed by us and our performance; huge credit to Wolves. They could've been fully checked out by now, but they've kept fighting and never give much away cheap. Some decent players there, too.

03.03.2026 23:27 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

There does also need to be some frank conversations about our first half performances, I think. I understood the need to solidify after the terrible run. Also worth remembering the tendency to concede early in latter day Klopp. But. This can't be the destination. We're giving up entire halves. #LFC

It's a staggering 'clearance', isn't it? I mean, it's virtually on the line and somehow Gakpo hooks the ball beyond Jones (who is about to nudge it over the line) and onto the bar. That it then drops behind the incoming Kerkez as well is salt in wounds territory. Almost comical.
