Controversial take but the 1800 is my favourite. It's just sooooooo pretty. ๐

I've often wondered if this was the inspiration for the late Mk3 (and Mk4/5) Cortina dashboard. ๐ค
In these strange and uncertain times the world needs two guys talking bollocks about cars (and many other things).
The dash looks like a really creepy face, I don't like it! Still, it does have what looks like factory a/c which was pretty good going for a Plymouth back then. ๐
A native wild bee sanctuary in Co Wicklow has said it will struggle to stay open beyond the end of the month if it cannot secure funding
Just realised that that last bit is my wording of the British royal family motto "Honi soit qui mal y pense" (Shame on those who think ill of it). Turns out that's much more applicable to body image than royalty! ๐ Yes, I know I'm strange.
Why do you feel that way about it? Comparing yourself to others is always a recipe for disaster. Yes you may think they're prettier or whatever but do they provide top drawer weird car content? No, no they don't. Also, if other people have offered unfavorable opinions on it, they can fuck right off.
I love how the Pulsar -based Sunnys were so dull that they couldn't even be bothered to fit any sort of badge to the front. They did have a cool dashboard though. ๐
Yeah but it's all ok because <gesticulates in Italian>
Just goes to show that white upper engine covers on Ferraris are nothing new. The blue of the HP logo still clashes on the current car though. ๐ฌ
NIK (Now I know), thanks! ๐
IDK, help me out?
This is the sort of BL geekery I feel @sniffpetrol.com would appreciate.
Here's something that I've long wondered about that AI has allowed me to do: What would the Morris Marina coupe have looked like if BL hadn't just re-used the doors from the saloon? The original image is the one that looks like it's been badly AI doctored and vice versa. ๐
Last cars I drove from every country:
US: Tesla Model Y
Japan: Toyota Corolla
Germany: Volkswagen T-Roc
Italy: Fiat 500
UK: Morris Oxford
Sweden: Volvo something
France: Renault Zoe (my current car)
China: BYD Dolphin Surf (test drove as possible replacement for Zoe)
Korea: Hyundai Inster (ditto)
Yes, frequently.

Volkswagen Passat B4 estate (Variant) in white
A little moment of appreciation for the Volkswagen Passat B4 (1993-97). Admit it, you'd forgotten that it existed, hadn't you?
There was at least one Y10 around Cork back in the day. I remember thinking it must have been in an accident because the black tailgate didn't match the rest of the car (that's just how they came).
I can only speak from Assetto Corsa experience but the Mk1 Escort is easily the best drift car in the game! ๐

That's not what I thought. ๐ถ
Believe
I test drove an Inster recently. I thought it was decent (though not nearly as good to drive as the Renault 5) but I found the speed limit detection absolutely infuriating. If I ever buy one the forward-facing cameras are going in the bin on day one.
Yep, that blows my mind too. For some reason the story that always sticks in my mind about these is that Bernie Ecclestone had one of the first ones and almost immediately had the wheels nicked off it.
When you've gotta go to work but you're still high af.
