Opposition to oppressors requires you do your best not to cooperate with authoritarians, y'all.

Dixon's whole run on GA was about shitting on Green Arrow and contradicting specific GL/GA storylines, he said it himself. He constantly hammered how Ollie was a cheater in BOP, while up to that moment he was raped.
The image of Ollie as a cheater was fostered that way.

Sarah Byam dislike for Green Arrow could just be an inability of writing Black Canary without having a bad boyfriend around.
But Dixon, responsible for writing Green Arrow in the 90s and writing Black Canary in BOP blatantly admitted his hate for the character in the book Moving Target.

To go back, the whole idea of Ollie as a cheater started with him being raped. Then Dinah kept victim blaming him even after Shado straight up told her she raped him.
From Grell's run ending and onwards Dinah kept victim blaming him. It's important to notice the writers: Sarah Byam and Chuck Dixon.

Grell wrote it first, but it was rape.
It wasn't Smith or Black Lightning's daughter, it was Winick and it was Black Lightning's daughter.
There's a lot of context to understand about this.
But before, on this one, Winick is also the same writer that wrote Jade cheating on Kyle.
