As a Canadian looking on, I'd say the greatest trick the Trump administration pulled on Americans was to convince them that "woke" speech impinged on their freedoms, but soldiers with guns in their cities liberated them.

I love that on the morning of a Liberal victory, those of us who voted that way are not tapdancing to a tune of now “owning the Cons” in the months to come. The way to convince and be convincing for CPC voters is to solve their problems and get them the services they need as much as everyone else.
Many of the very worst people I've ever known - some of my closest family among them - were the people who "spent the most time in prayer" when I was growing up in a church setting. I'm convinced that much of what is called "prayer" is self-affirming confirmation bias.
