Getting ready to watch first Chicago Fire match of the season. Having Bamba and Zinkernagel as new player names is already an improvement. If they do well this year soldier field should sell a Bamba Zinkernagel. A spicy barbacoa bagel taco. Can wash it down with a Brauhalter. #cf97

Had a chance to quickly view the new Chicago Fire training facility today as I was dropping off banners for the Columbus match. Amazing facility right in Chicago, just north of Pilsen. Only complaint is that the media rooms lights add 20 years and two jowls. #mls #chicagofire

USL’s plans for a D1 pro league and Pro/Rel offers fans what they want. MLS often creates new products that no one asked for. USL’s strategy will also do a lot for the Open Cup. I don’t think USL will surpass MLS anytime soon but it will gain ground. Let’s hope Detroit is brought up to D1. #usl

It is by far the least important concern at the moment, but the 2028 Olympics will become a real marker of how LA responds after this crisis is over. Will it showcase a rebuilt city, a city still struggling, or will it take place in another city altogether? The of course there is also the WC in 26.
2024 is almost behind us! This year was tough—Justin lost two parents, and so much happened in the world that made this sport feel very small. Yet, without it, we may not have made it through at all.

For a neutral the #mlscup conference finals have not exactly been thrilling football.
For sure. Also if there was a team to make it to final with 0 SOG it would be them. Sounders definitely ferried league from MLS 1.0 to 2.0

Perhaps no logo screams 90’s graphic design more than the New York/New Jersey Metrostars. One of the MLS’ original clubs they debuted in 1996 and joined the sport drink family in 2006, becoming RBNY. NY has never won the cup, only appearing in cup game once in 2008.
Orlando City are named the lions in honor of the first pro team in Orlando, the Orlando Lions. They played from 1985-86. The throwback logo they have used this year is from their time in USL when they were also the Lions. The semifinal tonight is the furthest they have advanced in the playoffs.
