And 16 days later, I was informed that the @ipbnews.bsky.social team (including myself) would be laid off at the end of this year.
It's heartbreaking. But there's still a lot to be proud of.
I'm going to have some self-indulgent grieving and then get to the business of figuring out what's next.

The Senate Rules (based on my reading) are the same, except a bill may go to second reading one calendar day after it's passed by committee.

Bills in the House can't be called down for third reading until the next calendar day (there are exceptions. But lawmakers have to *do stuff* for that to happen).
Next week, there are committee hearings on Monday.
In the House rules, bills that are passed by committee (which files a committee report) are eligible for second reading "on the second calendar day."
