Even the way the outer layer folds over the front is very reminiscent of kariginu which was worn by priests but most notably associated with onmyoji as well!!

You even see Abe no Seimei from the Onmyoji RPG and other characters from the game wearing stylized kariginu

You can see it most notably in the sleeves, the shape of the neckline, and the seam on the front of her outerwear! I’m curious about it since she’s from Europe, although she is very into Japanese occultism so maybe this design choice was meant to reflect that nodnod

Also something interesting I noticed about Circe’s design while playing 😚

There aren’t any notes on it in the art book, but I did think it was interesting that her outfit resembles kariginu.
