I regret to inform you that Twitter is currently pulling more interactions with more interesting conversations surrounding them.
I'm not giving up on you yet Bluesky.
No more shelf exams, time to start writing longer format ish (and continue studying for Step in 11 days)
Early on I had a lot of drive here that came from a higher amount of interaction with my posts and replies than I was experiencing on Twitter. This has fallen off, but I continue to post things here.
I'm going to experimentally cross-post some of these and compare interaction rates.
As long as you don't know that I'm using those fancy-sounding words incorrectly it doesn't really matter, right?
Me integrating the knowledge from over 2,000 flashcards per day. Merging a pantheonic knowledge of our medical frameworks and how they push and pull the tides of your life towards your eventual expiration.
All just so I can get better at multiple choice questions.

I get the Vision Pro hype. I went in very skeptical and ended up thinking to myself, "$3,500 is pretty reasonable." If it works 80% as well as the unveiling video suggests that thing is going to be wild.

So then I decided, as a rationalist, that the best use of my time and intellect would be arguing about ancient firmly entrenched strongly held beliefs from esoteric historical documents on anonymous web forums
So this place is slowing down because people aren't posting. I am people. I can start posting more.

This was actually after she'd forcibly left the NICU the night before to smoke a cigarette and negotiated a 15-minute return policy w/ the charge nurse. (NSICU director was really angry about that one)
We knew it was a barrier to her care, we knew she would discharge, we could do nothing.
I'll never forget the woman who discharged from the Neuro ICU two days after she'd had emergency brain surgery because we couldn't coordinate a way for her to leave, smoke a cigarette, and come back into the ICU.
My hot take is that we should let patients vape in hospitals so that they don't discharge against medical advice to go smoke a cigarette on the sidewalk and then have to readmit themselves to the hospital
