I think about this trailer a lot cause a) it's nuts and would have blown minds at the time that a game could even be like this (I didnt see it until later, i was stuck with UK PS2 mag demo disc trailers then) b) it actually has a lot of differences to the final game

finished Umihara Kawase (10/10 obvs) so on to Umihara Kawase Shun and this one has cutscenes that are cheesily shot ads for fishing gear??? it just gets better and better this series

going into that room, seeing those two dancing, killing them and then realising actually the reason i was getting cursed was not them but rather a little guy with a violin on the other side of a hole... that's when i knew for sure this was a 10/10 all-timer

I don't begrudge its existence but the fan-patch that gets rid of the lives system is wrongheaded. seeing your growing familarity with the game's platforming nuances reflected in managing to keep your lives as you get deeper and deeper into the level count each run.... that's real satisfaction
