Watching hegseth describe all the military assets the us has destroyed. It’s so so dumb. He is listing them off but …to what end, what is the point? Is this what he thinks makes him a tough guy? It’s like a HS student bragging about beating up a weak grade school student .

WTF is even the point of this? Dudes in power just like killing whales?

one of the rep candidates in nc is running on a platform of supporting masculinity, but i thought getting support was emasculating. very confusing indeed

I will never get used to the disdain our country holds for brown and Black children.

From Palestine to Iran to Sudan, we normalize the destruction of schools and hospitals and daycares. We reduce children to death tolls and their futures to rubble with no consequence or second thought.

On the plus side I recently started a position where I finally have access to one of my fav journals, stats in medicine. It’s a small consolation amidst a mountain of miserable news.

The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive

Yea I agree. That is why it’s important to consider the per protocol analysis from the get go instead of just adding it as an after thought. Surprising how few good per p analyses are out there at least in the majors.

I would argue that the womens hockey team both played better than the men (who got lucky, imo since canada was playing better overall) and are also better at representing the US right now given their declining to meet with ...him

How America Chose Not to Hold the Powerful to Account Our national project of elite impunity

β€œThe answer to why powerful people in some other parts of the world face consequences, while in America they rarely do, is that elite impunity is an American national project,” Adam Serwer writes:

I see alot of hate towards clinicians but just like all members of a team, everyone has something to contribute. Not all clinicians can formulate a perfect estimand or identify an efficient estimator but they can be very helpful identifying a question that needs to be addressed.

24.02.2026 18:55 πŸ‘ 4 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

wow, hard disagree. true, clinicians are not statisticians or epidemiologists, but they have way more expertise as a basis for formulating a good question (perhaps when guided) than a statistician imo.

New paper by @jeremylabrecque.bsky.social and Katrina. Guidance and rationale on how to report causal Qs in research papers. I wrote an editorial with colleagues (www.bmj.com/content/392/...) too. I encourage anyone interested in writing an RMR for BMJ to reach out and discuss. #Episky #Medsky
