Dying Breed (2008) is such a weird film to me because there’s these moments that could be read as a critique of how men treat women but like… then it’ll immediately re-centre the male gaze in some scenes and it’s just… like guys you were halfway there.

Struggling with driving in the wrong side of the road in Lake (2022).
Previously I'd used mechanics intended moving through space to represent the uncovering of a family secret. For this one, I decided to look at how spaces can hold secrets and how these ambiguity around these secrets reveals societal anxieties surrounding the unknown.

Late to this, but I’m currently working on a game that’s kind of a spiritual sequel to Buried Deep. It’s an inverse of using moving through space to explore the uncovering secrets.
It is incredibly validating that instead of helping my process how my anxiety is affecting my worldview, this week my therapist basically went “yeah, shit sucks, here’s some self-care techniques.”
