A lot of the narrative seems to hinge on this plot device called the Epsmythe Files and the author just refuses to let the reader know everything they need to know about them. It's very frustrating!

It's terrifying. I do not recommend it!

I'm reading this fantasy novel and the King is in rapid mental and physical decline. Just making a fool of himself and his kingdom.

I'm getting increasingly nervous that the next big plot point will be an assassination by his own men, who then frame it on the opposition.
