I think healthy to be skeptical of stories like the Armageddon speech that was reported by an anonymous source. All the same, stories like that seem plausible and true because of this sort of public commentary.

When you have an audience or a business you have to ensure that you always provide a lot more value to people than you extract from them. If you don't then, long term, it all breaks down.

I think two things can be true at once. You can acknowledge that neurodivergence and mental illness deserves grace, while also acknowledging that you are not obligated to accept hurtful treatment. As a neurodivergent and mentally ill person, I understand that I don’t get a free pass to hurt people.

It has been a year since my mom died and I must tell you it has been really hard. I miss her beyond words. But we’ve also been able to support my dad and spend a lot of time with him as he adjusts to a new reality and to see him living the way she would have wanted is really lovely.
Putting this out into the wild: I want a job in comics where I’m on the other side of things. I want to produce books as an art director or something to that capacity. I will try again to break in to do this, but for now I’m voicing it in a public forum.
