3PM to 6PM. I play Mini Motorways, do inventory spreadsheet work, shower, then do the dishes. At 6 I make ginger tea and catch up on hourlies in the living room while my parents watch breaking bad.

7PM to 8PM. My partner and I facetime, his dog curled up next to him. He plays Final Fantasy 7 while I play more Mini Motorways. In the four years he's appeared in my hourlies, we've only gotten to be together in-person for two: long distance pain (on opposite coasts).

A sketchbook spread from 9AM through 11AM. At 9, I fret over the upload quality of the previous hourlies, then get distracted by Sudoku and forget my toast. At 10, I tidy my bed while listening to a talk. At 11, I read The Odyssey.

Sketchbook spread from 11AM (continued) to 2PM. I muse about being very bad about not getting to people's recommendations until years later. From 12PM to 1PM I nap, finally getting up to eat at 2:30PM and then finish watching a video about an old school mystery game.

Large text declares that it's Hourly Comics Day February 8, 2026. I look up from below, musing "I think hourly comics is the only art challenge I genuinely like." At 5AM my body wakes up, my eyes wide open in bed. Had some fantastical dreams, people with powers. A spellcaster holds out their hands, light swirling around them. But also the "I forgot my mask in public" stress dream (in a stuffed theater.) I sit horrified in my seat, thinking Oh my god...!

At 6:20AM, I head out on my morning walk. I like going out when there's hardly anyone around (social anxiety). I walk around empty sidewalks surrounded by trees. Some snippets of things I saw on today's walk. A little fluffy cat came sprinting up asking for pets. It brushes againt my legs, rolls on its belly, and scratches a post. A guy running while his doodle mix pitter-patters alongside. A skittish white cat.

At 7AM I get home from my walk. I peek through the front entrance, mask on. Below, a scene from my desk, sketchbook laid in front of my computer with a mug on the side. I treat myself to hot chocolate and start hourlies. At 8AM, I do my stretching and planks routine. After, I tune into a livestream of 31 minutos re-runs. I watch my laptop, with a snippet of Tulio and Juan Carlos Bodoque, characters from the show. I remember last year, struggling to understand even with subs. But now I can watch without subs and understand so much more.
