The real masculinity crisis is that it took less than one generation for women to outcompete men in higher ed and home ownership once the legal barriers to both were both were removed and they are collectively losing their minds faced with the reality that they were never naturally superior.

They want (white) women pregnant and at home but it won't work because they've gutted all the systems that made it possible for white women to stay at home post wwii

*Writing a letter to my line manager*

Hi as one of your transsexual cyber witches, you will be aware that we have recently been deemed too grotesque by the Eye of Sauron to frolic among the fae and elves.

I am asking therefore as a reasonable adjustment for the provision of a transsexual grotto.

It’s not dysfunction. It’s design. The GOP uses a ruthless disinformation playbook to confuse, divide, and exhaust the public. They don’t want you informedβ€”they want you disoriented. Here’s how their machine worksβ€”and how we expose it.

Opinion | Elon Musk’s Legacy: DOGE’s Construction of a Surveillance State (Gift Article) DOGE is rapidly assembling a sprawling monitoring system, the foundation of many authoritarian regimes.

Elon Musk may or may not fulfill his promise to step back from DOGE.

But his legacy is already clear: He is assembling a sprawling domestic surveillance system β€” the likes of which we have never seen in the United States.

An Equal Playing Field: Why UBI Is Preferable to GI - Roosevelt Institute Given the current climate, one might wonder whether this is the time for a report on universal basic income (UBI). But speaking as two people who’ve advocated UBI since the early 2000s: Current prospe...

Nice and helpful read here by @michaelalewis10.bsky.social about why universal basic income is superior to guaranteed income. Targeting on the front-end introduces big problems and would be better accomplished by taxes on the back-end. UBI provides true security without stigma for all at all times.

What $7.25 buys you in 2025 Americans who work 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, at the federal minimum wage no longer make enough money to keep themselves out of poverty.

The $7.25 federal minimum wage is a poverty wage in every state.

Meanwhile S&P 500 CEOs made $40k/hr in 2024.

There’s a minimum wage because employers would pay less if they could, but no maximum wage because the rich write our laws to benefit the rich.

Mother Jones (@motherjones.com) The funding for some of Trump’s β€œdata” on an alleged ActBlue β€œfraud” seems to have come from just such a source: an opaque super-PAC bankrolled by none other than Elon Musk.…

Instead of Amazon listing tariff costs next to product prices, let’s list how much companies and billionaires donated to Trump next to every executive order that made them richer β€” and same for Congress with the bills they pass.

Give this a listen. Trump and Rubio are locking up people for engaging in speech, without any tangible evidence of wrongdoing or even hateful speech. So it's good to hear from the people they are demonizing.

Not all disabled people can boycott Amazon. Many are housebound with no other affordable or accessible delivery options.

Be kind. We all resist in whatever way we can.

If you want to help, offer to deliver goods to someone. Or take them shopping.

Build networks of community care.

A) Democrats should be doing blanket opposition at this point.

B) David Perdue has declared China is waging a new kind of war against the US and could be easily opposed for this specific position

C) David Perdue is a NOTORIOUS insider trader who could have been easily opposed on corruption grounds
