Volts is my source for cutting edge climate tech that's actually getting deployed, legislation like balcony solar and a whole lot more. I've been a subscriber for a while now, and David deserves your support!
This city is home to people of countless faiths. But no matter what you believe, one thing unites us: we are all New Yorkers. We will not allow ICE to terrorize our neighbors.

Are you looking internationally? A good friend just took a teaching position at a university in Sweden. My anecdotal impression is that the options are also slim abroad and that the rest of the world has been slow to fill the void in US funding. Still, it is worth asking given the circumstances.
I want you to know that I am drowning in content at all times. From podcasts to newsletters to news websites to Bsky, I am perpetually overwhelmed with content. As a subscriber, I have no need for you to write 3 pieces a week. One feels more sustainable for both you and your audience.
The fact that both are quite experiencedβ8 years and 12 years with CBPβis yet more evidence that CBP should be abolished and all of its agents fired. There's no way to "reform" or "retrain" that, it's just a violent gang with badges.
it's quite funny that the international pedophile ring got QAnon to put them all in power.
Saying there must be trials isn't just an emotive aspiration.
Congress can:
- Create a new court (complying w/ 6A jury vicinage)
- Give it jurisdiction over defined category of crimes
- Also create dedicated prosecutors for the same
- Strip SCOTUS of appellate jurisdiction
It can be done.

Itβs not so much that Trump & co donβt think slavery was important, they want to remove this history precisely *because* of how important it was. They donβt want people to learn about slavery because then people would understand how it continues to shape the landscape of inequality in America today.
Thank you for taking this position. DHS and ICE are violating our rights, violating the law, and terrorizing communities. Ending the funding is a necessary but incomplete next step to stop the lawlessness and move toward accountability.
When I lecture to students about how the apparently thriving economy of the 1920s was really a house of cards just waiting to be knocked down, one of the points I stress is how much a small number of the very rich were essentially propping up consumer spending in unsustainable ways
The New York Times is failing its readers when it minimizes 1) Child porn generated via Grok 2) The humans, not Grok, created it and 3) The "outrage" is not ambient anger but a demand for accountability.

Congress should file articles of impeachment agaisnt RFK, Jr. He is unambiguously dismantling the healthcare systems that have improved health and safety for generations of Americans.
I haven't seen Viewfinder listed yet in the thread, and I think it fits your puzzle interests.
A pair of chocolate roulade cakes joined in a V and covered with merangue mushrooms. They are sitting on a black cutting board with a dusting of powdered sugar.
Is the green pistachio? That's a fun touch! I did my Buche de Noel last night for a party. I like to add a sprinkle of powdered sugar for a snowfall effect. I went overboard with fungi this year.
It brings me no pleasure to report that my beat β offshore wind power β skyrocketed to the top of new sites today.
I just published a scoop about Trump's halt on 5 in-progress wind farms capable of powering 2.7 million homes.

@sarahmackattack.bsky.social this feels germane to your interests. Not sure if it might help with some od your overcommitments at the moment, but there may be some fruit to pursue.
N. K. Jemisin and S. A. Corey. The latter is a bit of a cheat, because one half of the duo had a few short stories published in the 1990s, but for actual books I think it is accurate.
I think that "Science [the] shit [out of] those Philly night squid!" is a perfectly admirable hobby.
Is Creative Director Sarah the one who draws Mother Earth erotica, or is that Lead Artist Sarah?
I happily donate to Wikipedia, incredible resource in this day and age especially.
You are the best! As a member of CCL, I found your earlier articles on the topic to be invaluable.
How well does the SPEED act fit these needs? From your perspective, is appropriate to back? If not, would adding funds for local permitting by amendment tip the scale for you?
I'm an Eagle Scout (once an Eagle Scout, always an Eagle Scout).
Scouting made me who I am, gave me a variety of skills, and even helped me get an employment for a few summers working at Sea Base.
Scouting, at its core, isn't about being a good man. It's about being a good person.
I have a CCL lobby meeting tomorrow with my congressional office to talk about the SPEED Act. I will gobble up anything you write about it.
The scariest part is that rebuilding is harder than protecting. If they didn't care to put up defenses, will they invest political capital to fix the damage? I am very concerned about how long the damage will go.
