Empty office buildings, if not converted for other uses, would eventually have to be demolished. How recycleable would the rubble from these buildings? Unless those materials can be effectively reused for new structures, I think it's worthwhile to at least try to convert rather than demolish.

Our communities here in East Portland are definitely in need of more attention, funding, and projects from the City.
Something does need to be done about the growing under-use of space and the cost of housing downtown, though.
