I guess the new code indicates another leak in the fuel system that the mechanic didn't find the first time. If I get charged in full for additional parts and labor, I will simply perish.

After 3 & 1/2 weeks in the shop and a $2.6k bill, I got my car back only for the check engine light to come back on over the weekend (for the same reason as before...). It can't pass its overdue inspection until it's fixed [again] now. 🙃
