Two others were killed in the same attack; their names have not yet been released.

My best friend texted me yesterday when he found out about SFC Amor. He served with her on staff until he left the unit last year. Said she was a great soldier, well loved and liked by all. He was pretty shaken up over it. He also might have been there himself had he not switched units. RIP all.

Good people do serve. His twin came off active duty as an IN officer in 10th MTN and became a Fargo PD officer and was commended for saving a suicidal person in the river just a few months later. They are the best of us.
It is entirely reasonable to be skeptical of cops. I certainly can be and am, but Cody was a very good person without a single malicious bone in his body. Him and his twin brother welcomed me openly when I showed up to my first unit late and helped get me situated because they recog'd me from school
Last night I accidentally saw a bodycam video on Youtube that happened to be of someone I served with in the NG, was 2 years behind in ROTC of, and was an early mentor to me - the day he was killed as a Grand Forks Police officer (May 27th, 2020).

I am not joking but "reception" (initial inprocessing stuff for several days) before you start actual army basic training this is literally what you get fed every meal.
