exactlyyy, if u can start to have this internal monologue, it makes getting older so much more freeing and liberating in the membrane. putting it into practice rlly solidifies the pattern recognition from repeating experiences in ur brain to just chill out more with each instance
and tbh exuding confidence in what u do or how you present yourself is a flex, bc our little worrying monkey brains will just assume that what x person is doing is right, and makes ppl worry more about how they are coming off in the face of someone who seemingly "has it down", fake it till u make it
and if someone does make a big deal abt something weird u did, they prolly dont have many friends and are a generally unlikable person with their own issues goin on inside lol
FRR, i feel like this internalization just has to come with age and general living life experience to be like, damn everyone is rlly just alive for the first time, and even these 50 year olds be awkward asf, so why should i care about myself that deep, we are just free existing self worrying monkeys
basically just know ur not special, and think on 1 hand how many weird social interactions u had w someone in the past 2 months that were slightly awkward 100% due to them and now ur perception of them is bad, u prolly cant, ur brain dgaf it just worries about its own perception...BE FREE
ppl will only remember shit if u are an actual asshole or mean to them...no one literally remembers any awkward occurrenceand if they do its on their own end thinking they were the one who made the situation awkward prolly...just dont be mean in life and ur good brother
and if u actually did do something obv a lil noticeably awkward or weird...guess what...ppl will forget about it in 10 min. do you remember how someone picked out a straw weird and made like 10 others fall on the ground at a restaurant a month later? no bitch that happened and u forgot in 10 min
that cashier is prolly also internally worrying abt them saying some out of pocket weird thing based on ur awkward reaction...they prolly think they are the weird one...trust me everyone is self centered and no one cares about u (unless ur actually being a fookin FREAK i guess ofc LOL)
