More than anything else, this kind of communication with the ongoing development of these games is appreciated :)
I guess "Fate of the Unknown" being the basis for Terra and Aqua's themes is a pretty good example. But I'm kind of looking for "event/scenario" music--music that recontextualizes a narrative moment (not just character themes!)
Hello! Question: can you think of any examples in the KH series doing musical foreshadowing?
:))
so maybe this is old news, but the german word Flügel means "wing" in english, but it can also mean "grand piano," so Nachtflügel could be translated to "Night Wing," but it could also in a roundabout way be translated to "Grand Piano of the Night," which I think sounds cool as hell
The day is approaching...
Our next edition of the KINGDOM HEARTS Concert Soirée begins tomorrow, at 6 PM ET! Join us for a spectacular sonic showcase of musicians around the world, as they pay tribute to the music of Yoko Shimomura. Please enjoy this teaser!

Thank you to everyone who was able to hangout with me and Jay for the first episode of the Kingdom Hearts Character Files. I had a blast and am very excited for episode 2 on Axel
For those who missed it, we had an extra special guest make an appearance. Happy March Caprice!

suddenly remembering some cringe you did back in middle school
it does kind of feel like kh has gotten the short end of the stick lately, or that the series was a testing ground for different gamedev approaches that later get refined in sqex's favorite child. kh4 with the musical 7remake team would be a dream
now what can we do to get Mitsuto Suzuki doing cutscene music for this series too
shotaro shima is the best thing to happen to kh's music since yuko komiyama's work in 0.2 (is this a hot take)
It's kind of fun to compare the arrangement teams responsible for various worlds in KH3 -- which was your favorite world (musically)?
I expect this kind of distribution (separate field/battle/event arrangers) will probably continue in ML and KH4
kh news cycle, more like the power of waiting
Natsumi Kameoka is too cool man
Larxene constructing the Ice Labyrinth in ARENDELLE
Xehanort constructing the Graveyard Labyrinth in the KEYBLADE GRAVEYARD
If you're rly good at darkness, you can make mazes :^)
oh yeah^ I guess I consider that more like a narrative payoff instead of a reference, but it's true!
hahah, that's probably a fair point
