Dropped my teen son & friends at Cedar point, then decided to go beach reading. It’s very hot, I’m 4 hrs from home, & the only bathing suit I could find in my van was one too ugly for my tween. I stuffed myself in this thing like a weird mom-sausage. Can’t return it now, I guess. Laugh with me.

Both things can be true about adhd: mine is my poetry superpower & it holds me back: I lose checks, other important things, forget bills, texts, apts. I used to forget assignments & fail classes, self medicate. I’ve learned to admit this, to carefully plan. To (mostly) not shame spiral/check out.

The reason you're having trouble concentrating if you are here in the US is because we're basically being chased around by serial killers and being asked to disregard the fact.

The owner of our cabin just had a maintenance man literally bat it out with a towel and now I’m like testing the bat would’ve been sad, but also so much easier than trying to find rabies vaccines in Ohio 😭

Welp, unknowingly slept with a bat above us (shitting into the bed) in a cabin in Tennessee, so we spent today getting rabies shots…played crucify by Tori Amos on the drive to the ER, which did make it feel more like Easter. We’ll see if this gets in a poem.
