It isn't the wickets, the runs or the catches. It's simply that fact I had the courage to step back onto the cricket pitch after 7 years. It was nerve wracking, tiring, and perhaps a little questionable with two small kids who don't sleep. But it's also been the absolute best thing I've done for myself this year (and probably in several years). It's like I've fallen in love with the game all over again. Taking my 1 and 2 year old along, hearing them proudly tell everyone that their Mummy is playing cricket and knowing I'm raising two boys who will see women's cricket as the norm, is just the icing on the cake.
