Asked our Gr 5 students to draw a scientist. 50/54 drew a male presenting person. We had a really great conversation about it but clearly so much more work still needs to be done to see women represented in science in the media.

Standing in solidarity in SK with AB teachers! Enough is enough. No one wants to strike - we didn’t. But the govt refused to negotiate in good faith until it was inconvenient for the public and they started to hear about it. Get loud. Make them hear!

I hope folks understand that that is because of a lack of funding from the SaskParty govt and not school boards. They are doing what they have to because of the disgusting financial shortfall from the govt.

Same for the legislature in Saskatchewan. The SaskParty are so gross with zero decorum or respect for anyone. I refuse to take my kids there for a field trip because I can’t explain to them why such a disgusting space is “representing” our province.

Wanuskewin is a fantastic site of Indigenous learning. The Remai art gallery is very cool and he should eat at the restaurant there, Hearth. 13 Pies for another amazing meal.

The Banksy exhibit is there right now and completely amazing. Not sure if Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan is doing shows on the day he is there, but we saw A Midsummer Night Dream set in 1985 and it was so good!
