My digimode setup. The G90 rests on the Eremit battery and is connected to the PC via its USB CAT cable (with a snap-on ferrite). The DIY digimode adapter is connected on one side to the G90’s ACC port and headphone jack, and on the other side to the PC’s headset jack.

My last two #hamradio QSOs yesterday were in FT8, so here’s a small picture of my digimode setup. The DIY digimode adapter sends the TX audio to the Xiegu G90’s ACC port, but it receives the RX audio from the G90’s headphone jack instead (from ACC does not work). #Amateurfunk

Heard about the digital #hamradio bulletin of District Oberbayern from @dd0ul.bsky.social and tried to receive it in JO62 today. Forwarded the audio of my #OpenWebRX into #fldigi and successfully decoded the MFSK-32 signal. #Amateurfunk

During my last #hamradio summit activations I missed points due to remembering some rules incorrectly. To prevent this, I have created a small cheat sheet for my favorite #Amateurfunk activities #SOTA, #GMA, #SBW and #POTA.

Along with that, I also received the #hamradio award for last year's Sächsischer Bergwettbewerb #SBW two days ago. Curious how many points I'll manage to collect this year. #Amateurfunk

In the mountains I always enjoy activating summits with #hamradio. Last week I missed some QSOs to earn #SOTA points from Klínovec, but at least managed to collect 2 points for Sächsischer Bergwettbewerb #SBW. #Amateurfunk

After fixing my collapsed EFHW #hamradio antenna, I was able to collect some QSOs during January 2026 for the #WWA #hamaward with my #Xiegu G90. #Amateurfunk

Wow - stopped my #hamradio session tonight and watched (and recorded) the amazing #aurora instead.

Received another #hamaward (celebrating 130th Radio and 100th IARU Anniversary) today. Took me some #hamradio QSOs during the last days. #Amateurfunk

Hi Steve, I do not own any Apple devices, but I think there should be an app for this. Heard about iFTx or so...

First test QSO with #FT8CN, #Xiegu G90 and DV27S mobile antenna. No cable connection at the moment, just sound transmission through the air (and PTT directly by hand).
To be able to run FT8CN on the old #Samsung Galaxy S4, I installed Lineage OS 18.1. #hamradio #Amateurfunk

Btw, there is another region in Germany (Saxonia) where it is easier - they run the Saxonian Mountain Contest during the whole year, and lots of people are listening on specific frequencies for this during the day.
