ofc i could just β¨ vibe code β¨ but i actually want to β¨ learn β¨ and ai code = errors. i'm gonna move home for a while after uni to teach myself game audio skills which uni didn't properly teach me, and maybe after that and working in the industry for a while i'll have the skills to make my game :3
unless i made the game i've had in mind for years ig, but i don't see that happening unless i had enough funding and learned how to code. i think it's too ambitious for a solo project from someone who only knows a bit beyond the basics on most required skills. coding *is* the main roadblock though
i feel the same way about 3d modelling rn as i did about making music in high school like i'm using all my free time modelling and learning stuff. wish i'd done it more in the past, after i leave uni i don't see it being super useful π
i love how i half finish a song, get so motivated and hyped that i start making a video/cover art for it, and then never finish the song
oldish song i released on my side account because i don't think it fits my current stuff :) on.soundcloud.com/QSmknYhIBRBo...
screenshot of inspiration software from their website, blah blah blah, basically it's what british primary school teachers would use to make presentations and demonstrate mind maps and planning and stuff when i was growing up in the 2000's and early 2010's. i kinda wonder how they're still around when literally anything else is better, but i guess it's like why adobe and maya and stuff are industry standards, they're too deep in some companies workflows or something. i like this aesthetic personally, though :)
respect to inspiration for being updated but still looking like it's from the 90s
i'm gonna be so annoying when townfall releases
i recorded this over 3 years ago, like, i've thought for years a silent hill set in a scottish fishing village would go hard and now i get to experience it π and now i can take pictures of fog back home and actually say "it looks like silent hill"
i literally said years ago that a scottish fishing village would be the perfect setting for a silent hill game i'm so ready
i don't have any way to play either of these i just like collecting :3
2 cool things i got recently
magdalena bay was great i spent too much money on merch though π
initially i was gonna make a synth to generate accurate engine sounds. despite being useful i would've hated researching physics and cars and shit lmao
it'll be an insane amount of work and an even more insane amount of research since there's not a ton focused on this stuff, hopefully whatever i make will turn out cool though. i get to research EATEOT, the backrooms, internet aesthetics, psychology, etc. so i think it'll be fun
my liminal space sound design research thing got ranked quite highly in uni and now i'm scared because there are real expectations for how it'll turn out π
MECHANICAL HEART ACT π
made it somewhere special :D
The World's Hardest Beat (remix of snayk - growing on me)

i don't like the number 2026 so i'm boycotting the next year
i'm pulling a frank ocean and never releasing anything π
sometimes i type a message with too many acronyms and have to put my phone down for a while to reconnect with the world
hydoutdubstep reference shoutout scotrails π
my parents have very different ideas for christmas presents. my mum got me a field microphone, earphones, etc. and my dad got me an onion hat and a taxidermied scorpion
i have a playlist on youtube for whenever i hear a silent hill song in a video because i just recognise so much random shit from the games constantly but this one was a little wild. how do i recognise the tile pattern???
