I'm pleased to announce the third draft of This Falling Eden is complete. Now it goes on to a professional editor while I finally catch up on other things. π
Word count stands at 92,500 words (260 pages). π
A salt water tankie. Cos Russia's navy has always sucked and our colonies were never over bodies of salt water, we had no colonies.
Russia became the world's largest country by entirely peaceful means.
Final five! I'm down to the last five chapters in the all-important third draft of This Falling Eden. We're entering the home stretch. πβοΈπ

Pretty sure I decided what my third novel is going to be. (*or fifth, if a trilogy counts for three)
The biggest challenge is finishing my second novel before starting any new ones. ποΈπ΅βπ«ποΈπ΅ποΈ

Image of the mechanical ladder outside the Louvre Text below says WENN'S MAL WIEDER SCHNELL GEHEN MUSS (When you need to move fast) Underneath is more German text which translates as "The BΓΆcker Agilo transports your treasures weighing up to 400kg at 42m/min - quiet as a whisper."
The German company that makes the mechanical ladder used in the Louvre heist has used the image to advertise, with the text 'When you need to move fast'

Meeting Trump in Budapest is perfect. That's where we promised never to invade Ukraine in the first place.
(Context: Humanity has lost the ability to read, and is surrounded by their ancestors advanced technology.) [4/4]
The machine is inhuman. One cannot badger it into compliance. [3/4]
Only Zanine can understand such a design by its creator's native logic. Sarsa, like Cericef and everyone else, can only muddle through a learning process of sights, sounds, and an elusive intuition that's just as likely to get her shocked or start a fire as it is to perform the intended task. [2/4]
Happy 'That Day'. 16 years ago today, I completed my first novel. In the editing process that followed, many many extraneous 'that's were cut. ha ha
To commemorate this writing holiday, I'll post my favorite line from This Falling Eden, chapter E15, which I'm editing today... [1/4]
Four panel cartoon. First panel has female presenting white person with long dark hair, glasses and a green shirt saying βtoday we are going to learn about insurance!β Second panel has woman talking to the edge of a brown desk, with bubble that reads βhey insurance, I am injured and I need some of that money I give you for in case I get injured.β Third panels is the woman sitting at a desk with a nameplate reading βinsurance.β She wears a black top hat and a gold necklace with a dollar sign, and piles of bags with dollar signs on them are behind her. The bubble above her head says βno.β The fourth panel has the woman back to regular dress saying βand that is how insurance works!β

Preview chapters are now available for This Falling Sea and This Falling Tower:
www.egrabow.com/eden/S20.htm
www.egrabow.com/eden/T07.htm
These are from the first draft, which won't be touched for a while. A preview of This Falling Eden (the first book) will go up when its third draft is complete.
Adulthood is realizing that when neurotypicals say "give 100%" the actually mean "give 30% but act like it's 200%"
With covers done up, and some back cover copy written, I've launched pages for the other two books of the trilogy:
www.egrabow.com/rm.php?e=Eden
www.egrabow.com/rm.php?e=Sea
www.egrabow.com/rm.php?e=Tower
Only the pre-existing Eden page will receive many updates in the near future, though.
Work on the "Iridium" covers is complete. These are all prospective until the trilogy is actually published. Eden's is red. Sea's is yellow (the color of the sky and sea in this world). Tower's is blue.

Fascinating: Did you know that the Sun's energy output per cubic meter is only about the same as that of a compost heap? βοΈπ
About 277 watts per m3
(277 watts per m3 doesn't seem very impressive. But the sheer volume of the Sun generates an immense output.)
