This is not a judgement on people feeling the weight and sorrow after being laid off - this is my very personal perspective, and I need it, because I need to remind myself that life is more than a job and I am safe and alive
Layoffs are difficult, but then I listen to the radio news about how Gaza Humanitarian Foundation are shooting sharp rounds at people queuing for food and I feel my life is put into perspective

Watched Dune 2 tonight (late to the party, I know), but I genuinely don't like it.
Beautiful cinematography, audio is fantastic, but the story of this white saviour borrowing whatever identity suits his fancy that day can get in the bin.

Talked with a bunch of non-UK colleagues and everyone shared the same experience with British people finding us abrasive in our communication _no matter where we're from_
My theory is that British people just find non-british people abrasive because we're not British.
