A good mix of horror & comedy. Mystery, suspense, levity. Great performances. Good visuals.
And a classic twist that is well executed but a little eye rolling.
#Shelter is a generic spy thriller film.
Its cast tries to add emotion & depth to it, and there are some decent action moments, but it’s too predictable & unoriginal to become anything more than passable.
Not the worst thing ever, but you’ve probably seen better films just like it.
#IsThisThingOn Is a very good time, but slightly too long.

#Greenland2Migration is a disappointing follow-up to a surprisingly good film.
It has decent performances & some thrills, but it’s bogged down by genre tropes & a rushed pace.
It’s not awful, but there are other, better films just like it.
#Mercy is stylish, disorienting, sickening, and mercifully short.

It avoids zombie tropes, expands the world & characters in interesting ways, and proves this franchise has plenty of life left.

#AvatarFireAndAsh has greats visuals & good action, but it’s far too long, it’s story is overly familiar, and large swaths of it are a slog to get through.
There’s a good film in there, but it’s surrounded by bloat.
#WakeUpDeadMan is another good, fun whoodunnit.

It has a fun concept, and a great cast, but It occasionally dips into romcom tropes. I wish it pushed the quirkiness of its world a little more too.

It left me wanting more, in a good way. But I wish the story & characters had more depth.
