A screenshot of some items in my shop with pricing that looks weirdly high and non-rounded. Eg a sticker now says £6.68 instead of £3 and pins now say £15.90 instead of £12. The postage portion will be reduced at checkout if you buy multiole items but nothing on screen tells customers postage is now rolled in.
Screenshot from Etsy support chat: new display is legal trquirement for UK's DMCC Act to include shipping in the listed price for UK buyers. While the numbers may seem high, the total the buyer pays hasn't changed - savings on multi-item orders still apply at checkout. While we're obligated to implement this, we should have done a much better job guiding sellers through it....some more biz speak about valuing my feedback.
Err heads up to fellow UK folks, apparently a law change now requires online stores to list prices with postage rolled in.
So prices are gonna look high and janky but will in fact go down at till for multi-item orders. 🫠
Neither gov nor Etsy seem to have seen fit to spread word in advance of course.
