I've slowly started to get re-interested in old comics and I just wanted to show off my recent purchase of Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #1. I haven't even read it yet. I just like looking at it for right now.

Our first reaction was to cancel our upcoming appearances. However. we do not feel it would be fair to our supporters who have already purchased tickets & made plans to attend these shows. dead Kennedys have always stood firmly against authoritarianism, racism, and fascism. That has not changed. After these scheduled appearances, we will not be participating in future Punk In The Park events.

It was a big week for weirdo right-wingers in metal crashing out and getting kicked out of their bands.
One neighbor brought out water bottles for people. Another offered to bring out food. It was none of the nonsense you see on social media. No one-upping. No history checking. No "is this you?" It was the real world with real problems and real people helping each other. Be the change you want to see.
It was genuinely nice to come together with people. Introducing ourselves. Loaning shovels and brushes. Offering to drive cars to open parking spots. Joking about the weather. Laughing about our predicament. Hiigh-fiving when someone finally gets their car out.
It doesn't matter who they voted for or what they think about some specific current event. They need help, I'm going to help. And then we worked together to help someone else. That's how it's done. That's how it should be done everywhere. I've got you. You've got me. We've got each other.
Let me tell you about real Community & Solidarity. It's not having the "right" politics or ideology. It's coming together & helping those that need help. I just spent 4 hours shoveling 39 inches of snow with my neighbors. Different ages/ethnicities/religions/genders. Working together. Laughing.
If it's not too prohibitively expensive, Katz's ships nationally if you need the good stuff. They even have a box that includes bagels.
I do not, but I'd like to some day.

Not for nothing, but there's a bunch of senior citizens in my building. Some of them still use a landline. Maybe they have a smartphone, but I have to think that even if they do, this might be difficult to figure out.
The dismantling of larger newspapers and shows will further erode the public's trust and push them even deeper into listening to dingus podcasters and streamers with bad haircuts that talk out of their asses and somehow have millions of followers. Maybe that's part of the plan.
